Hello everyone! Kyuusei here to teach you Japanese and show what I find interesting about Japan. With that being said, let’s continue.
日本語のイベント
最近、日本語を勉強している人と話しました。アニメとか日本語とかマンガのことを話しました。すごく楽します。３年ぐらい、一人で日本語を勉強しました。今、日本語の初心者をアドバイスを上げました。楽しかったけど、私の勉強に集中していけなければなりません。

I do or did things like…
Is it … or …
This grammar point is used to say that you are going to do or have done multiple things. With nouns (N) いーAdjectives and なーAdjectives it is used more for statements or questions.
V[casual-form, past tense] + り + V[casual-form, past tense] + り + する

Ex:バスケットボールをしたり、運動したりました。

This grammar point is used to say that you just got finished doing something.
V(casual, past) + ところ
Ex:何それ？！床が汚い。この部屋を掃除したところだよ。
(What the heck?! The floor is dirty. I just finished cleaning this room.)
Ex:宿題をしたところだから、今、一緒に話せますよ。
(I just finished doing my homework so we can talk to each other now.)

- Visiting some old friends from high school in your hometown but you have noticed there have been some changes. Comment to your friends that this town sure has become livelier than before you all graduated.

- After buying matching bags with your friend you go on a trip to Florida. Another one of your friends who just met you both at the hotel asks you if you have a pair of headphones in your bag. Tell her that you do and that your bag is the one with a Steins;Gate pin attached to it.

- A coworker of yours, Watanabe, who usually comes in late, arrives 10 minutes early. When another one of your coworkers, Shizuka, comes in she asks if Watanabe is late again. Tell her that Watanabe came to the office surprisingly earlier than her today.

- You found a new friend that is studying Japanese. Ask them when it comes to Japanese, do they think reading or speaking is more difficult.

- A friend from college asks you if you can still speak Japanese. Tell him that you have not spoken much Japanese these days.
このごろ日本語をあまり話さなくなりましたけど、読む力はまだうまいです。

(What is this place? [lit. Where is this place?] I don’t have a clue. Do you know? [Yes, Sora Pluto has all the answers to your questions.])

(Accessory Shop [lit. The door to the Accessory Shop])
(Oh, welcome… [らっしゃ is a short (somewhat ruder) version of いらっしゃいませ (the greeting a store clerk gives to a customer)])
(Oh it’s just a brat. [lit. What, it’s just a brat, huh?.])
- ガキじゃない、ソラだ！
へッ、悪いィ悪いィ。
(I’m not a brat, the name’s Sora!)
(Yeah, my bad my bad. [You can use 悪い to say your sorry as well.])
- んで、どうした、ソラ？
うかない顔してるぜ。迷子（まいご）か？
(So, what’s the matter, Sora?)
(You look down. Ya lost or somethin’?)
- ちがっ。。。わないか。
。。。あのさ、ここどこ？
なんだぁ？

(…Well I guess that doesn’t matter at the moment. [lit. Well, anyways.])
- その、外の世界だかどうだかわからねえが、おまえさんがいた島（しま）じゃねえのは確（たし）かだ。
(About that, I don’t know whether this is another world or not but, this sure ain’t the island you lived on.)
- そうか。。。わかった。俺、リクとカイリを捜（さが）してみるよ。
おう。何か知らねえが、しっかりな！
それからよ、どうにも困（こま）ったときには
このシド様（さま）のところへ来（こ）いや。
力（ちから）になるぜ！
(Is that so… I got it. I’m gonna go and see if I can find Riku and Kairi. )
(Right I don’t know anything but, keep it together! [He’s basically telling Sora to be careful out there while looking for his friends. Kind of like “look sharp”.])
(After that, if you run into any trouble come to me. [He’s using the honorific Sama on himself. On top of that he says この before his name here like Dio does. This basically means he thinks very highly of himself.])
(I’ll help ya out! [lit. I’ll become your strength/power!])
And with that reassurance form Cid, Sora begins his journey… in another world!

Tokyo Metro Area Request to Continue Closing The Country’s Art Museums and Museums
The Agency for Cultural Affairs (ACA) and Tokyo Metro have diverging thoughts about whether to open the museums on May 12th or not. As the State of Emergency continues, for the sake of requesting places such as art museums to be opened, the ACA has risked opening 5 of them in the Tokyo Metro Area. However, Tokyo Metro does not want many people to gather at these places and wants to close them.
The ACA has discussed this matter with Tokyo Metro, and decided to suspend the 5 art museums and the like starting on May 12th.
The Director of the ACA stated “In these difficult times, culture gives everyone hope and courage. The virus is spreading, so for the sake of everyone’s survival, culture is very necessary now. I only want it to be this way when there is no other option but to stop these activities.”

Dash! 逃げろ！魔法が使えない？
Dash
I just wanted to add this to introduce the word into the loan word ダッシュ.
逃げろ（にげろ）
This word is the imperative form of the verb to run or escape. The imperative form is basically a rough command by someone. Think of it like a drill sergeant commanding you to do something. 食べろ！飲もう！寝ろ！
As you can see the imperative form is quite rude. But if you are in a dire “life or death” situation, you can use it to make your speech shorter during emergencies.
Anyways, this just means “Escape!” or “Run!”.
魔法（まほう）
It is made up with the kanji 魔 which can mean “witch, demon, evil spirit” and 法 which can mean “method, law, system, etc.”. So from combining these two Kanji we can see how the word “magic” is made. Take witch and method. “Witches” are known for using a certain “Method” to do their spells.
In other words, this word means “magic”.
が
が is another particle that indicates the sentence’s subject. It usually comes up when you want to describe something with an adjective or in this case describing a verb with the subject “magic”.
使えない（つかえない）
This is the casual potential negative form of the verb 使う, to use. The potential form is basically a form where you can say you can or can’t do a certain verb. In this case, it means “can’t use”. A question mark is added afterwards as it comes to the shock/surprise to the character it involves.
Put that together with ”魔法が使えない？” means “I can’t use my magic?”
Put that together with the rest of the words the title means ”DASH! Escape! I Can’t Use My Magic?”.
Compared to the official translation, they both say the same thing. However, I think that my translation is a bit too straightforward.
This title comes from the 90s anime “Slayers”. It follows a story with a girl who can use powerful magic and steals treasure from bandits. She later on teams up with a natural airhead of a swordsman. Perhaps many more will join her party (I haven’t watched it all yet. Finished the 5th episode just yesterday.)
It kind of gives me a RPG vibe. Was watching it dubbed for the first episode but after seeing that the Japanese version comes with titles like this I changed to sub. Plus, the OP and ED songs come with the lyrics in Japanese with furigana so I couldn’t pass this up. If you are interested you can find it on Funimation as far as I know.

バトルの後で、船員は「俺の 親父は ポケモンは １００しゅるい いると 言ってたが 俺は それ 以上 だと 思う」と言った。かもなぁ。別のひとは「パーティーも そろそろ 終わるし 船の 出発の時間だな。」と言った。そんなことが知らない。キャプテンは今、船酔いしたから、この船はおそらくどこにも行かないんだ。
台所に行った。パーティーは終わっても、みんなが忙しそうだ。料理人はゴミ箱の中に変なボールを見た。見て、スーパーボールを見つけた。別のゴミ箱の中にはゴミだけだ。まあいっか。船は他のゴミ箱があるのかなぁ。それで、どこでも行ったことがあるみたい。キャプテン見つけないと。特別の部屋にいるか？ポケモンを回復してくる。パソコンでヒロイグチを引き出した。
ええ？この廊下にまだ行ったことがない。キャプテンの部屋は二階はずだ。えー？アキもここいるぞ。ポケモンを回復しておいてよかった。どうやって？あ、なるほど。オキド博士が有名人だ。博士はたぶんアキにチケットをあげたはずだ。わー、アキはもう４０匹を掴めった？！豪語するあと、アキは俺に挑んだ。ちょっと待って、40匹が掴めば、今、どうしてアキのチームは6匹がいない？なんか怪しい、アキ。
イナズマはアキのオニスズメをマヒした。アキはコラッタがいるから、俺はキバを出した。キバのひっさつまえばそれを倒した。先から、アキのサンドがもっと強くになったが、キバのみずでっぽうが強すぎた。アキのイーブイも強くになった。だが、全員（もちろん、ヒログチは別としてだ）もっと強いだ。イッコケセイはあいつを毒して、倒した。難なく倒した。
REI’S JOURNAL
After a battle, a sailor told me “my dad said there were 100 kinds of Pokemon. I think there are more.”. There might be. Another guy told me “since the party is over the ship is going to depart soon.”. Not sure about that. The captain is seasick so this ship is most likely not going anywhere.
I went to the kitchen. Even though the party is over, they look busy. One of the cooks saw a strange ball in the trash can. I took a look and found a great ball. The other trash cans only have trash in them. Oh well. I wonder if there are any other trash cans on the ship. I think that’s every place on the ship. Gotta find the captain. Is he in a certain room? I’ll go heal up my Pokemon and come back. I got HIROIGUCHI out of the PC.
Eh? I haven’t been to this hallway yet. The captain’s room must be up those stairs. Eh? Aki is here! Good thing that I healed my Pokemon beforehand. How was he invited? Oh yeah. Professor Oak is famous. Aki must have got the ticket from him. He’s caught 40 Pokemon already?! After boasting, he challenged me to a Pokemon battle. Wait a minute, if he has 40 Pokemon, then why does not have 6 Pokemon in his team? Very sus, Aki.
Inazuma paralyzed Aki’s spearow. He has a Rattata so I sent out Kiba. Kiba quickly took it out with a Hyper Fang. His Sandshrew has gotten stronger since last time, but Kiba’s water gun was too strong. His Eevee has also gotten stronger. But my whole team (besides HIROIGUCHI, of course) is stronger. Ikkokesei poisoned it and took it down. Easy victory.
