日本語の練習 第38週 Japanese Practice Week 38

Hello everyone! Kyuusei here to teach you Japanese and show what I find interesting about Japan. With that being said, let’s continue.

日本語のイベント

アニメ好きです。そう、最近、シーエム、というか、コマーシャルはアニメっぽいでした。たとえば、カップヌードルとワンピース。

そして、僕の一番好きなスタジオジブリフィルム「魔女の宅急便」。

カップヌードルはぜんぜん食べませんけど、このシーエムがおもしろかったです。

ハーゲンダッツはアニメっぽいシーエムを作りました。

ハーゲンダッツが好きです。一番好きな味はバニラスイスアロモンド。一日中食べてできる。

GRAMMAR NOTES

[ちゃう・じゃう]

This is the casual form of last week’s grammar point, [てましょ]. It means the same thing. However it is mostly used by women and since it is used on several occasions this casual form of [てましょ] does not always mean that someone has done something by accident.

Another note about these two casual grammar points is that they are used with the te-form. The only time you will use じゃうis when you are conjugated a verb that ends with む／ぶ／ぬ.

Ex: お酒を飲んじゃった。(I drank all the alcohol.)

［飲む Te Form➔　飲んで　conjugate to じゃう➔　飲んじゃう　past tense of じゃう➔　飲んじゃった。。。分かりますか？］

Ex: 肉まんをたくさん食べちゃう。太りたくないよ。(I ate all the meat buns. I don’t want to get fat.)

[つい]

Ever gotten into a situation where you unintentionally do something by mistake? Well this is perfect for you. And hey if it hasn’t happened it’s good to have this grammar point in your toolbox.

This grammar is used to say something was done unintentionally or by mistake. It can also be coupled with しまった to show that you regret the action that took place even more.

Ex: アイスをつい落としてしまった。(I dropped my ice cream by accident.)

Ex: 彼女は僕をつい打ち抜いていました。(She was punching me without thinking.)

1. You are eating at a ramen shop with your friends. Tell them, that this ramen’s fishcake sure is delicious.

このらーめんの鳴門（なると）はおいしいですねえ。

• You are working at a convenience store. A customer walks into the store. What do you say?

いらっしゃいませ！

• You are at a manga café and see a Yu Yu Hakusho logo figure for sale. You go and ask a salesclerk for the price. The salesclerk mentioned that the figure over there is ￥58000, although the price tag says ￥158000 – yen. Ask him if that figure over there is not ￥158000 (“Isn’t that figure over there ￥158,000?”)

あのフィギュアは１５８０００円（えん）ではありませんか。

• Your classmate is looking for a textbook. Offer him the extra textbook underneath your desk.

この教科書（きょうかしょ）をどうぞ。

• Tell a classmate that the transfer student is not British.

転校生（てんこうせい）はイギリス人ではありません。

• You are looking at a yearbook with your friend. Ask him which student is Daisuke’s older sister.

どの学生（がくせい）がダイスケのお姉さんですか。

• You and your friend aced your Japanese exam. Your friend took you to her favorite steak restaurant as a celebration. At the restaurant, ask her which meat is delicious.

どの肉（にく）がおいしいですか。

• You went to a thrift store. Cool! That looks like Luffy’s hat. Ask the price of that straw hat near the salesclerk.

その帽子（ぼうし）はいくらですか。

• Your classmate thinks Professor Ray is American. Tell her that Professor Ray is not American. Inform her that Professor Li is not American, either.

れい先生（せんせい）はアメリカ人（じん）ではありません。李（り）先生（せんせい）もアメリカ人ではありません。

• You are working part time at a hotel. Inform a guest that the restroom is over there.

すみませんお客（きゃく）さん、そのトイレーはあそこです。

• You are working at a retail store. Your task is to put prices on the items. Ask a coworker if the watch near you is ￥6870.

この時計（とけい）は６８７０円ですね。

• You are looking at cars in front of the café you work at. Ask your coworker, Ms. Kanako, which one is hers.

かなこさんの車（くるま）はどれですか。

• You are at the stationary store, tell the salesclerk that you want to buy the mechanical pencil you are holding.

すみません、このシャーペンをください。

JLPT N5 VERBS

1. 起きる (おきる) – to get up
   1. 6時に起きて、朝ごはんを食べます。

(I woke up at 6 and ate breakfast.)

• 妹はたいてい正午に起きています。

(My little sister usually wakes up at noon.)

• おく – to put
  • かばんはここにおいでください。

(Put the bag here please.)

• 汚い服は選択バッグにおいでください。

(Please put the dirty clothes in the laundry bag.)

• 送る     (おくる) – to send
  • 俺は母にお金を送ります。

(I sent my mother money.)

• そのメッセージを送らないで！

(Don’t send that message!)

• 押す     (おす) – to push
  • お兄ちゃん、ボタンを押して。

(Big brother, push the button.) ß This is from the beginning of Fate/Hallow Ataraxia Visual Novel.

• この赤いバタンを押してれば、ビルは爆発するぞ！

(If you push this red button, the building will explode!)

• 覚える (おぼえる) – to memorize, to remember
  • 漢字はちゃんと覚えてください。

(Please memorize the kanji properly.)

• すみません、君の細かい話を覚えてことができない。

(Sorry, I can’t remember your trivial story.)

• 泳ぐ     (およぐ) – to swim
  • 泳いでことができません。浮かんでことができるだけだ。

(I can’t swim. I can only float.)

• 海に行って泳ぎましょう。

(Let’s go to the beach and swim.)

DIALOGUES

[パソコンがほしい]

A: 新しいパソコンが買いたいなあ。

B: ただそのアルバイトを始めたじゃない？お金を貯めるよ。

A: だって、来月大学に行くよ。

B: じゃ、パソコンを月賦で買う。

A: えっ、できる？

A: そうよ。

B: あ、なるほど、姉ちゃんときどき頭がいいかも。

A: おいー！

A: ねえナデコ、なにを食べている？

B: えと。。。ラーメンや寿司やおにぎり。そして、3個肉まん。後で、アンパンを食べる。

A: Eh?! Really. Have you been on a diet lately?

B: No, I never been on a diet before. I don’t gain weight at all either.

A: Hey… seriously? (“I’m so jealous!!”)

B: Yeah. For example, I ate four servings of rice bowls this morning.

A: Did you eat your femininity with the rice?!

B: What is femininity?

A: No, it’s nothing.

ヒビキのにっき

さ、楽しかった。そろそろ時間、行く。アセロラさんは僕にゴーストZとダスクボールをもらった。え？！このところは裏の部屋がない？あ、ふん。。。やばい、誰か僕に見ている感じ。冷たい。ミミキュウ？あの裏の部屋があるねえ。ねえ？！戻ります！カギに似ているポケモンを掴んだ。君の名はカギやイバコ。とにかく、その部屋をまた調べましょう。え？！そのドア。。。一体どこに？！さっき、ドアがあるねえ。。。ちょっと怖い。。。よしー出かけるの時間。

エーテルハウスに戻っています。ああ、もう、スコル団員も戻ります。プルメリもいる。うるさいなあ。このバトルをもう終えりましょう。彼女はまだポケモンが2匹います。クロヒゲとコチャマはポケモンを速く倒した。その団員は女の子のユングースを盗んだ。それで、女の子のために、僕はひとりぼっちでポータウンに行かないと。いいだろう。着物を着ている男は道を知っている。僕は自分でポータウンを探してできるだよ。地図があるんだよ。分かった、わかった、いいよ、彼を探しています。

速い。見つけた。勝負しよう？「私ギームが投げるコインがどうなるか充てるかいい」と言った。えと。。。どちらでもないだと返事した。あ、当たり。ギームさんは僕にサメハダーのライドナンバを教えてもらった。あ、なるほど。それで、この男を探したの理由だ。海に行こう。。。サメハダージェット❢　すごいー❢　岩を壊している。さって、ポータウンに出発よ。

HIBIKI’S JOURNAL

Well, this was fun. Time to go. Acerola gave me a Ghostium Z and 10 dusk balls. Huh?! What do you mean there isn’t a back room in that place?! Okay… now I feel like something is watching me. Is it Mimikyu? That back room does exist right? Right?! Let’s go back in! I caught a key looking Pokémon. I’ll name it Kagiyaibako. Anyways let’s check that door out again. Eh?! W-w-where is the door?! It was here a while ago… that’s a bit scary… okay time to leave.

Heading back to Aether House. Ah jeez, those skull gang members are back again. Plumeria is with them, too. Annoying. Let’s end this battle already. She still only has 2 Pokémon. This battle be over quickly. Kurohige and Kochama quickly took them down. Those goons took this little girl’s Yoongoose. So, I have to go to Po Town by myself to get her Pokémon back. Fine by me. A guy wearing a kimono knows the way. I can find the place on my own you know. I do have a map. Fine, I’ll look for him.

That was fast. I found him. He’s going to flip a coin and ask if the coin is on heads or tails. I said neither. Ah, I was right. He registered a Sharpedo to my Pokémon Ride Pager. Ah, I see. So that is why I had to find this guy. Let’s go to sea… Sharpedo Jet! This is so cool. It’s smashing the rocks. Now off to Po Town.
